Why would anybody want to drag race the Porsche 911 GT3 RS against the twin-turbo Dodge Viper? The answer must have something to do with the giggles such the velocity battle has to deliver, at least in our book.

If there is one thing we have learned about such oddball-grade races, it is that one should never make assumptions.

For instance, you would imagine that such the battle would involve the standing start, so the 500 horsepower Porscha would have the chance against the boosted V10 animal.

The battle between a 4.0-liter boxer wielder and a boosted 8.0-liter animal took place on the airfield in Sweden, which meant the driver didn’t have to worry about a space.

However, this isn’t the case with a sprint battle we have here, which involves a Rennsport Neunelfer and the Heffner-modded Viper going for the rolling take-off.

The PDK tranny of this GT3 RS is notorious for the instant blasts it can deliver, and the Zuffenhasuen hero could at least grab the initial phase of a race.

Well, despite a fact that the two velocity monsters duked it out on the two separate occasions, this guy behind the wheel of the Porcha never seemed to know how to use the vehicle.

When you think that working his way through a gears had to be a greatest challenge of a Viper driver and this Porsche guy wasted this advantage, things become the bit ironic.
